Melamine crockery looks and feels like ceramic but has the advantage of being lighter and almost unbreakable so is perfect for outdoor catering. It can be used with foods of up to 100℃ plus it can be washed in a dishwasher up to the same temperature. It cannot be used in either a conventional or microwave oven.
